Fluctuation of the measured values is high
If the fluctuation of the indicated values is high, fix the zero point again, choose a higher gauge value if possible, check the start situations of your measurements: are they different? They should be always the same. Is the camera lens well sealed?
Measured values are continuously growing or continuously decreasing in time
If the values are shifting in time in one direction without any reason, try to wait a little bit longer than the relaxation time, indicated by the progress bar after a measurement. Try to measure immediately after power-on of the smartphone.
Zero point value or temperature higher than gauge value
If the zero point value or temperature is higher than the gauge value, either the place to measure the zero point is not suited for a measurement without radioactive radiation. Look for a better shielded container. Or the temperature during the zero point fixing is too high. In this case fix also the zero point anew, but at a very cold place (fridge or freezer).
